Advance Payment
In order to reserve their enrollment at Appalachian, newly admitted students must submit a non-refundable advance payment.
Freshmen must submit a $200 non-refundable advance payment, $100 of which will be applied to tuition and $100 to housing for the first term of the academic year (fall or spring). Freshmen who are not married or residing with parents while attending Appalachian are required to live on campus and are guaranteed a space within a residence hall. Any freshman planning not to live on campus must seek permission to live off campus through the Department of Housing and Residence Life.
Transfer students must submit a $100 non-refundable advance tuition payment which is applied to the first term of the academic year (fall or spring). Transfer students are not required to reside on campus but are given the option live on campus if the so desire and if space is available. In order to be considered for on-campus housing, a transfer student must submit the $100 advance housing payment, as well.
Submitting a Payment
To submit an advance payment, mail a completed Acceptance Agreement letter (included in acceptance notifications) along with a check to the Office of Admissions, Appalachian State University, A.S.U. Box 32004, Boone, North Carolina 28608-2004.
