Planning for Your Session

AppCards (Student ID Cards)

Student ID cards are used to access a student's residence hall, serve as a student's meal card, serve as a student's library card, and can be used for purchases in the University Bookstore. The sooner you have your AppCard made, the better prepared you will be to navigate campus. Dates and times that new students can get their AppCard made will be available here soon.

Appalachian Express Account

Students may deposit money into their Student ID card via the Appalachian Express Account. The Student ID card can then be used to purchase items or food at several campus locations including dining facilities, the bookstore, the medical center, some laundry machines, and more.

Parking

  • New students and parents attending Orientation in the Summer should park in the Stadium Parking Lot (please note the change from the River's Street Parking Deck). Please visit the Parking and Traffic Department for a complete campus map of all parking lots.

Parking Passes for the Semester

  • A schedule of classes is required before you can register for a parking space.
