Application Deadlines
Applications for Fall 2009 must be received by one of the three application completion dates.
First Connections
First Connections is a personalized admissions web site. Your student may already have an account, if not, he or she can create one. With a First Connections account, your student can:
- Apply online and receive important messages about their application status
- Schedule a campus visit
- RSVP to special event initiations including open house, online chats, honors and scholars events, and orientation
- Apply for scholarships and more
We will communicate to your student primarily through email and the First Connections homepage, so encourage your student to visit often and be sure to keep his/her email address updated.
Campus Safety
The safety of individuals on Appalachian’s campus always has been of critical importance to the campus community and the Boone community. It is also important for students and their families develop a family communication plan to be implemented in case of an emergency. [ more ]

Admissions Terminology

Early Notification - Submission of an application for Early Notification admission is non-binding and applicants that are accepted to Appalachian State University have until May 1, 2008 to confirm their enrollment with an Advanced Nonrefundable Payment. Students may submit early decision applications and regular decision applications at other institutions.
